Saó Restaurant’s central focus is Vicenç Fajardo’s search for excellence through the grill, based on local product, careful cooking and a return to the essence that the landscape gives us. In a unique space located in the heart of the Empordà, it makes Fonteta its starting point for gastronomically exploring all that this fantastic territory has to offer.
Winter closed Tuesday and Wednesday, and every night except Friday and Saturday. Summer only Tuesday. August open everyday.

He is the current president of La Cuina de l’Empordanet. He lives the kitchen with passion, joy and honesty. He is a man of the world with a very open mind and a great sensitivity for the product he deals with. He was very clear from an early age that he wanted to be a cook, he studied hospitality in Girona and has had a great journey through different cuisines. He is now in the kitchen of his home, SAÓ.
Discreet and approachable, she tries to go unnoticed but with her attention always alert to meet the needs of her clients. She studied hospitality by vocation and now, at the peak of her professional career, she is the host of SAÓ.
